The Community Law Centre

The Community Law Centre offers free legal advice and information – the Dunedin office is located at Floor 1 169 Princes Street and you do not need to make an appointment at the following times:

Monday, Tuesday Wednesday evenings: 5.30 - 7.30pm
Tuesdays Thursdays and Fridays: 12.30 - 2pm

Make sure you bring any documents you may need (eg:  Employment agreements tenancy agreements).

Central Otago – first consecutive Tuesday and Wednesday of the month – check local papers for location and times available in Alexandra, Cromwell, Queenstown and Wanaka.


Otago Province – (free-phone 0800-169-333) Advisors available 2.30 – 4.30pm each afternoon.

Help with traffic, employment, tenancy, police, consumer/debt, criminal, ACC, neighbours, government depts and family matters.

Cannot help with wills, trusts and estates (other than general information), buying or selling property, business or commercial matters.

Matters that come to the Law Centre remain there and are governed by the same principles of confidentiality that occur in any solicitor/client relationship.
